Yes. Each Dress Bureau piece is cut to its stated size, so you're not guessing between two sizes at checkout.

MASY BURROWS STARTED DRESS BUREAU BECAUSE NOTHING EVER FIT RIGHT OFF THE RACK.

Masy started altering her own dresses at fifteen, mostly out of frustration. The ones she wanted never came in the color she pictured, or fit right off the rack, so she'd take them in at the waist herself, re-hem them, make them work. By her twenties she had a wardrobe full of pieces nobody else owned, because she'd changed almost all of them. Dress Bureau started at twenty seven, not as some big plan, more as an answer to a question she kept circling back to on weekends: why does it have to be this hard to just buy a dress that fits the way it's supposed to?

A handful of our dresses are still finished by hand, the small parts that are easy to get wrong on a machine, like hems and waist shaping. Not every piece, just the details that actually decide whether a dress sits right on you or just looks right in a photo.
